Sudan 'allows aid agencies back' into Darfur

Sudan has authorised four aid agencies expelled from the country in March to return to troubled Darfur, says the UN's humanitarian chief John Holmes.The four groups - named as Care International, Save the Children, Mercy Corps, and Padco - were among 13 organisations expelled in March. It’s sad they were kicked out in the first place, which is why many in the Darfur advocacy community have reservations about ICC prosecution. Indeed, once an arrest warrant was issued against Bashir, he retaliated by kicking out aid organizations who were doing crucial work in the Darfur region. That’s why some experts believe a diplomatic solution would be a wiser choice.
