Holiness in Islam and Christianity

In his book Revelation? Do We Worship the Same God? Mark Durie argues, notwithstanding Islamic claims to the contrary, that the God of Islam is completely different from the God of Judaism and Christianity. One of the most powerful parts of his argument is his discussion of holiness in Chapter 12. Here is what Durie has to say: Durie observes that any dictionary or encyclopedia of the Bible will have a long article on holiness, whereas in McAuliffe’s Encyclopedia of the Qur’an there is no entry for holy or holiness. Further, Wikipedia’s entry on holiness includes no reference to Islam. Read more HERE.
